This is another study, this time from the Harvard school of public health warning that even moderate alcohol intake increases breast cancer risk. Be sure your folate levels are sufficient if you drink alcohol, but don’t overdose on folate either as that may also increase cancer risk. Talk to your health care provider to help determine the proper folate dosage for you. It will depend on the amount of alcohol consumption and other factors such as other prescription medications, diet and lifestyle factors that can reduce folate levels.
